BRISTOL, Va. – The Virginia Intermont women's soccer team signed a new member to the program Wednesday afternoon as Katie Barker, a standout player from John S. Battle High School in Bristol, Va., signed a national letter of intent to play her collegiate soccer career with the Lady Cobras.

BRISTOL, Va. – The Virginia Intermont women's soccer team signed Sullivan Central High School standout Kalena Fauver this week.
Fauver is a midfielder/defender from Blountville, Tenn., who was a four year starter for the Sullivan Central Cougars.
Fauver is also a member of the Holston Valley FC. She is the daughter of Donna and Bobby Bowyer.
Last week, Virginia Intermont women's soccer signed forward McKenzie Botts from Friendship Christian School. Botts is a stand out basketball player and soccer player at FCS.
During her career at FCS, she was named to the NCCSA AAA Second Team All-Region during her freshman year, the NCCSA AAA First Team All-Region in her sophomore year and during her junior year made NCCSA AAA All State Team and the All-Region Team. Botts was also voted the teams best offensive play during all three years of her career.
Botts is a member of the CASL Mercury Club team. She has a 4.0 GPA and will major in Biology at Virginia Intermont.

BRISTOL, Va. - The women's soccer program at Virginia Intermont landed its second all-state player today with the signing of Bristol, Va., native Kierra Morse, who was a 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-State Virginia High School standout. Morse will join the squad this fall for the 2013 season.

BRISTOL, Va. – The Virginia Intermont (VI) Women's Soccer team added another player to their 2013 recruiting class in Chelsey Seng on Thursday afternoon. Seng was a member of the NJCAA national runner-up Brevard Community College (BCC) in Brevard, Fla.
Seng was a key member of the Brevard team as they built on a strong inaugural season in 2011 to make a run at the national title in 2012. She appeared in 13 of 17 games for the Titans, starting in two contests. She also finished her career with BCC with two goals and two assists. She was a crucial sub in a starting eleven that featured nine all-region players and two NJCAA All-Americans.
"As an attacking midfielder, Chesley will bring an important skill set to our team," said VI Head Coach Katy Stigers. "With her experience playing in a championship caliber program, we're going to look to her for leadership in establishing the competitive environment we want here at Virginia Intermont."

SCIENCE HILL, Tenn. – This afternoon the Lady Cobras soccer team of Virginia Intermont made an addition to their roster with the signing of Timbra DeLaney from Science Hill High School.
"Timbra is a wonderful addition to the Virginia Intermont soccer family," said VI Head Coach Katy Stigers. "Not only will she make an immediate offensive impact on our conference, Timbra is a tremendous person and will bring a lot of positive energy to our campus community. I am really looking forward to what she does during her career here."


BRISTOL, Va. - The Lady Cobras soccer team was defeated by the Lady Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) Saturday afternoon at Sugar Hollow Park, 0-3.
Abby Stephenson had a career high in saves with 25 on the afternoon and only allowed three goals.
GGC scored their first goal with six minutes left in the first half and a few minutes later the Lady Grizzlies struck again to take a 2-0 lead into the half.
VI will return to Sugar Hollow Park this Wednesday to continue Appalachian Athletic Conference play against St. Andrews University at 2 p.m.
