Eric Senter - Head Coach - 4th Season

 Eric is entering his fifth year as head coach of the Lady Cobra softball team. Before taking over the reins at VI, Eric was an assistant softball coach at Virginia High School while teaching criminal justice.  Eric is a retired Lieutenant from the Bristol Tennessee Police department.

 Eric's enthusiasm and love of the game of softball is evident when you see him on the field. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge of the game and has a "knack" for recruiting.

Amanda Haverman Image
Amanda Haverman - Assistant Coach - 2nd Season
Amanda Haverman enters her second season as assistant softball coach. She graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in education with a concentration on sports management and a minor in management.  She is originally from St. Louis, MO.
  
Haverman was a member of the ETSU Lady Bucs softball team for four seasons. In 2006 she was named to Georgia Tech's Buzzworthy Classic All-Tournament Team. On April 24, 2006, the Atlantic Sun Conference named her Player of the Week. In 2007, Haverman was selected to the Atlantic Sun All-Conference Team as the designated player and was a 2007 Atlantic Sun All-Academic Honoree. That year she also broke the Lady Buc record for RBIs in a season, tied the single game hit record, and posted a team best nine multi-RBI games during the season.  Haverman was also the 2008 Pre-Season All-Conference pick for designated player and a 2008 Atlantic Sun All-Academic Honoree.
  
Haverman was inducted into the Kirkwood High School Athletic Hall of Fame on March 14, 2009.  She was a four-year starter for the Kirkwood Pioneers Varsity Softball team.  Her freshman year and sophomore year she was selected to the Second Team All-Suburban West Conference. Her junior year she was First Team All-Suburban West Conference, First Team All-District, First Team All-Region, First Team All-State Class 4A, Second Team All-Metro, St. Louis Post Dispatch Player of the Week Oct. 17, 2002, and Suburban Journals Player of the Week Sept. 1, 2002. Haverman's senior year she was First Team All-Suburban West Conference, Second Team All-District, All-Metro Honorable Mention, Member of the Suburban West All Star Team, and was a national nominee for Wendy's High School Heisman Award. She also recieved a Gold K from Kirkwood High School for holding above a 3.5 GPA through all four years of high school.
