Coach Ssejjemba is a native of Uganda (East Africa) and a 2004 graduate of Virginia Intermont College. Following graduation Coach Ssejjemba played professional soccer for four years with the Richmond Kickers, DC United, and Charlotte Eagles and represented Uganda in the 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign. Coach Ssejjemba is actively involved with Sports Outreach Institute, a ministry working towards improving the lives of people in Africa through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His philosophy is "to give the very best as God has enabled me and to trust Him with the results." Robert is married to the former Katie Quick, and they have two children, a daughter, Teddy and a son, Isaiah.

Joseph Shirey will assist Coach Ssejjemba during the 2009 season. Joseph is a Sugar Grove, Va. native. He graduated from Wytheville Community College. He is married to Audrey Blair Shirey, and they have a 2- year- old son, Matthew.
