Jaclyn Dickens - Head Coach - 6th Season

Jaclyn begins her fourth year as Head Coach of the Women's Basketball program at Virginia Intermont College. Entering her sixth year of employment at Virginia Intermont College she has also served as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach and Assistant Volleyball Coach while also teaching Beginning Tennis. In her three years as head coach, she has coached three players named as All-Conference, two Conference All-Freshmen and one Conference Freshman of the Year, also five Academic All-Conference and Academic All-Americans. As the Men's Tennis Coach she received AAC and Region Coach of the Year as the team finished 11th in the nation. Prior to VI, Dickens was Head Girl's Basketball and Tennis Coach at Oak Hill Academy for five years where she started the girl's basketball program. There she coached seven players that went on to play college basketball. In addition to coaching she served as a Resident Manager in the dorm and taught Strength and Conditioning. A graduate of Emory and Henry College with a degree in Physical Education, she played both basketball and tennis, was captain in basketball and broke records in three point shooting and blocks. Dickens hails from Galax, VA.

Justin Wimmer - Assistant Coach - 2nd Season

Justin is beginning his first year at VI. He attended the Three Rivers Community College and then transferred to University of Memphis where he played basketball for the Tigers and received his degree in Recreational Therapy. After graduating, Justin played professional basketball in Austria and Spain and returned to the United States to play in Des Moines, Iowa and Memphis, TN.

Wimmer is a successful business owner of the Nautilus Body Works in Abingdon, VA where he is a personal trainer. He also coaches a 16U AAU girl's team which has competed in the nationals for the last four years. Of the young ladies Justin has coached, 22 of them have continued to play in college, 10 of which went to a Division I school. Three of his former players are current Lady Cobras. Justin is married to the former Pam Hendrickson of Lebanon, VA.

"Justin is a great addition to our program. He already has and will continue to help our team to be better and work harder than they ever have. He has a great deal of basketball knowledge and will be an excellent recruiter," stated Coach Dickens.
