Jaclyn Dickens - Head Coach - 6th Season

Jaclyn Dickens begins her sixth year as Head Coach of the Women's Basketball Program at Virginia Intermont College.  Entering her eight year with Virginia Intermont College she has also served as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, Head Men and Women's Tennis Coach and Assistant Volleyball Coach, while also teaching Beginning Tennis. In her five years as head coach, she has coached six players named as All-Conference, six Conference All-Freshmen and three Conference Freshmen of the Year. As well as, seven Academic All Conference and Academic All Americans.  As the Men's Tennis Coach she received AAC and Region Coach of the Year as the team finished 11th in the nation.  Dickens was also named the AAC's Coach of Character for the 2010-2011 season.

Prior Virginia Intermont College, Dickens was Head Girls Basketball and Tennis Coach at Oak Hill Academy for five years where she started the girls basketball program. There she coached seven players that went on to play college basketball. In addition to coaching, she served as a Resident Manager in the dorm and taught Strength and Conditioning.

A 1999 graduate of Emory and Henry College with a degree in Physical Education, she played both basketball and tennis, was captain in basketball and broke records in three point shooting and blocks. Originally from Galax, VA, Dickens also has twelve years of experience in working various basketball camps for various universities

Justin Wimmer - Assistant Coach - 3rd Season

Justin Wimmer enters his third year with Virginia Intermont College. He attended the Three Rivers Community College and then transferred to University of Memphis where he played basketball for the Tigers and received his degree in Recreational Therapy. After graduating from the University of Memphis, Justin played professional basketball in Austria and Spain and returned to the United States to play in Des Moines, Iowa and Memphis, TN. 

Wimmer is a personal trainer at of Nautilus Body Works in Abingdon, VA where also gives basketball lessons.   He is also a real estate mogul of J&P Properties. He also coaches a 16U AAU girl's team which has consistently competed in national level tournaments throughout the season. Of the young ladies Justin has coached, 38 of them have continued to play in college, 17 of which went to a Division 1 school. Two of his former players are current Lady Cobras. Justin is married to the former Pam Hendrickson of Lebanon, VA. They reside in Bristol, VA.

"Justin has been a huge asset to our program. He brings so much to the team in practice and games. His passion to win is contagious. Justin has been a key factor in our recruiting success every year. He has a great deal of basketball knowledge and bringing out the best in players," stated Coach Dickens.
