Virginia Intermont News
Thu, Aug 12, 2010 - [VI]
The Virginia Sports Information Directors Association announced today that six Virginia Intermont athletes were honored for their performances both in the classroom and in competition.

To be eligible, student-athletes were required to have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. The student must have achieved sophomore status, and he or she could not have been in the first season of competition at their current school. All athletes are either starters or key reserves for their team.

The VI community is very proud of these student-athletes and the leadership they bring to their teams. VI director of athletics Chris Holt commented "At VI we state early and often that student-athlete done right is a full time commitment. A job well done for this recognized group from VI and all others throughout the Commonwealth."

Please take a minute to congratulate these student athletes.
