Manuel graduated from Independencia School in Barquisimeto, Lara. He has played club soccer since he was in the 7th grade on various teams.

Briceno has gathered many soccer honors All Irabarren County three times and All Lara State five times and he has played in many International Tournaments.

Coach Ssejjemba commented, " Manuel's soccer experience is very impressive, he has played on several Youth teams in Venezuela such as Barquisimeto Soccer Club, Italian Club, and UCLA fc. He has also been recognized on All State, County and Indoor teams on more than one occasion. Manuel is the kind of player who will run all day working hard for his team, winning the ball and making good crosses on the right midfield."
