In a ceremony held in the library at Sevier County High School, Kayla Robbins signed her letter of intent to play volleyball for the Lady Cobras of Virginia Intermont College.
Kayla hails from Sevierville, TN where she plays volleyball for the Bearettes of Sevier County High School. She will be reunited with her former teammate, Jessica Brasington who is currently a freshman at Virginia Intemont and play for the Lady Cobras.
Robbins high school coach, Billy Ward stated, "Kayla is a total team player, she's got a super-strong serve and I think she'll be a capable front row and back row player. Coach Kinser is getting a very dedicated , smart and responsible young lady in Kayla."
Kayla sesrves as the president of the National Honor Society at Servier Co. High School and while at Virginia Intermont she plans to study physical education a youth ministry in hopes of one day becoming a church recreation director or a missionary.
Coach Kinser commented, " I'm very excited about bringing another Sevier County purple person to our program. Kayla is dedicated to her faith, she's dedicated to the classroom and she's dedicated to the court."
