VI baseball hosted Brevard College on Wednesday and came away with a split for the series winning the first game 6-5 and losing the second game 15-7.
The Cobras collected 9 hits in the first game and was led by Ed Clark who was 3 for 4 with 1 RBI. Lucas Dobbins went 2 for 4 and Justin Kopanko earned the win on the mound , Corey Prescott was credited with the save.
In the second game the Cobras pounded out 13 hits despite losing the game 15-7. Mark Shultz led the team by going 3-4 at the plate. Shultz was followed by Ed Clark who was 3 for 5. Tyler Arnold and Tyler Coleman both went 2 for 4. Brad Rush took the loss on the mound for VI.
The Cobras will be back in action Saturday, March 27th hosting Milligan College at Avoca Field. The first pitched is scheduled for 12 p.m. for two seven inning games and the two teams will play again on Sunday, a one nine inning game to begin at 2 p.m.
