The Virginia Intermont Men's Golf Team competed in a 36 hole one-day event on Thursday, March 25, 2010. The event was the Milligan College Shootout and took place in Elizabethton, Tn.
Milligan College won the event with team scores of 293 and 292. The Cobras finished second with team scores of 314 and 303. Following the Cobras, were Spartanburg Methodist College, Mars Hill College, UVA-Wise and Bluefield College.
Individually for the Cobras, Greyson Rossi finished tied for fourth place and was named to the All-Tournament team. In addition, Justin Brown finished 11th and Stephen Adeimy 14th out of 47 golfers.
"Finishing second in a golf-stat tournament with the host school winning is always an accomplishment. We played fairly well today and we finished better, which is a good sign for us as we move on to prepare for the next four weeks. Our goal for this entire season has been to peak at the National Qualifying Tournament and we will be working extremely hard over the next four weeks in preparation." Coach Collier added.
