The Lady Cobras traveled to Harrogate, TN to face the Lady Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University. The series was set to be a two game, seven inning series with the second game suspended due to thunderstorms.

Virginia Intermont defeated LMU in the first game 3-2. The Cobras were trailing going into the 7th inning 2-1. With a runner on, Nikita Belcher belted one over the left center field fence taking the lead 3-2. The Railsplitters came to bat and loaded the bases and Melissa Hudgins did her job on the mound for the save. Bailee Packett took the win for the Lady Cobras.

Nikita Belcher was 2 for 4 on the day with 3 RBIs and Brittany Lewis was also 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Heather Odle and Kelli Porter were also 2 for 4 on the day. VI will host Lees McRae College on Sunday, March 14th @ 2 p.m.
