Virginia Intermont College point guard Tihlee Anderson has been named to the 2009-2010 Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team.
According to VI men's basketball coach, Scott Hoagland, "Tihlee desreves every honor and recognition he receives. He is a diligent worker and tireless competitor. He gives his very best effort in every drill of every practice and in  every posession of every game."

Following a stellar career at Gate City High School in Gate City, Va. in which Anderson was named to mutiple All-District, All- Region, and All-State team awards, he has solidified himself as a point guard and floor general at VI.

Tihlee finished his freshman campaign with a stat line that reads as follows: 29 games played, 20 starts, 6.8 points per game, 2.1 assists per game, and 3.2 rebounds per game. A very humble Tihlee Anderson says of his post season accolade, "None of this is possible without my coaches and good teammates." Tihlee is the son of Mr. Troy Anderson of Gate City, Va. amd Ms. Renay Anderson of Kingsport, Tenn.
