Virginia Intermont baseball team traveled to Cleveland, Ga., to face Truett-McConnell College this past weekend.
The Cobras lost the first game Friday, 15-2. Ed Clark and Jesse Morrison were both 2-3 and the losing pitcher wa Cory Veibl giving up 10 mhits, 5 walks and three hit batsman. VI has a total of seven hits.
 
In game one on Saturday, the Cobras lost 5-0 having only five hits, one each by Jesse Morrison, Mickey Tichenor and Logan Welch. Franki McAteer took the loss giving up 5 hits.
 
Game 2 saw the Cobra bats come to life winning 4-3.  John Carbone went 3-3 while Ed Clark and Mickey Tichenor were both 2-4 and Jesse Morrison went 2-3. Shawn Flowers also added a solo homerun. The Cobras banged out a total of eleven hits. The winning pitcher was Rudy Staton giving up 6 hits and 2 walks.
