Amber comes to VI from Southern Alamance High School in Graham, North Carolina where she was a standout both on and off  the field.

Palmer was named to the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars and the Junior Marshals. She also served on the Student Council, was FFA President, FFA Regional Officer and was named the Times News Student of Excellence.

Amber was named All Conference 3 years, Academic All- Conference, All District 2 years, All State 2 years. She was also named a NCHSAA Scholar Athlete all 4 years and NCHSAA Sportsmanship Award all 4 years.

Coach Senter commented," Amber will be a really good addition to our team as well as our campus community. She should see playing time behind the plate early in her career."
